Hillary Rodham-Clinton's comments about Iran during a Senate floor speech:

"It would be a mistake of historical proportion if the administrationthought that the 2002 resolution authorizing force against Iraq was ablank check for the use of force against Iran without furthercongressional authorization."

True.  However, the resolution that she voted for was a blank check for the use of force in Iraq.
