Didn't like Clinton's war vote? Then don't vote for her
Even Hillary Clinton this weekend during a campaign rally in Dover, New Hampshire:
“If the most important thing to any of you is choosing someone who didnot cast that vote or who has said his vote was a mistake, then thereare others to choose from,†she said, a veiled reference to two of herrivals for the Democratic nomination — respectively, Senator BarackObama of Illinois and former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina.
Bottom line: she will never apologize for her pro-war vote. Progressives should stop thinking it will ever happen. They should also stop expecting that as president, unlike George W. Bush, Clinton would have the humility to admit failure from time to time.
Fox will be touting "Hillary tells everyone not to vote for her"

"They should stop expecting that as president, unlike George W. Bush, Clinton would have the humility to admit failure from time to time." I'm not altogether clear about what you're saying. Are you saying that she does not admit to her mistakes, in the fashion of Pres. Bush? It kind of seems like a jab at her is all. Not to say she didn't bring it upon herself, because I too wonder what she finds so damaging about admitting to making a mistake. Everyone was mislead about the reasons for war, she could defend her deceived vote from this. Even a great deal of the country was for it. John Edwards made very clear from the beginning his regret of voting for the war, now no one presses him about it. If only she'd done the same.

I understand where you are coming from, but sort of disagree.
Edwards apologized, and she didn't. Expressing regret is different than apologizing. You can regret something for many reasons -- such as because you were forced to. But you apologize when you are truly sorry.
This whole "knowing what we know now" business really does not translate into "I made the wrong vote." It means "I got caught, and I regret being caught."
Don't get me wrong: I like Hillary Clinton A LOT! She is a very smart individual, and has excellent leadership skills. She just so-happened to side with Bush on the most important Senate vote in the last decade...and she REFUSES to say she's sorry.

I disagree. She's not joe blow who is told what to think when trying to give his president the benefit of the doubt. She's a US Senator who is entrusted with monumental decision making power. She failed to investigate further. She failed the country. She failed the world. So did Edwards. There is not forgiving. There is no sorry. There is no going back.
Tell me why did half the Democrats in the House know enough not to vote with Bush on this? Hillary votes with the wind. She's not worthy of being President. No damn way. Same for Kerry. Same for Biden, Edwards and whoever else.
