Friday's last call
As we end this latest political news week, here are some of the stories that I will be following into the weekend:
- Bloggers such as myself worry that political operatives are infiltrating blogs with the intent of posting material that is favorable to the candidate they work for. writes about how the blog Red State uncovered that a staunchly pro-McCain commenter on the site was actually a publicist that works for the Arizona Senator's political action committee.
- are some of the guests that will appear on Sunday's news shows. Of some of the notables, CBS' Face the Nation will have Arnold Schwarzenegger and John Edwards. Over on Meet the Press, Senator Carl Levin (D-MI), Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, will outline the new plan to rescind President Bush's 2002 war resolution.
- The jury in the CIA leak case still has yet to reach a verdict. They will .
- According to a , in terms of religious affiliation, Jewish Americans oppose the war more than any other. 77% of Jewish Americans consider the Iraq war a mistake.
- As most of you who pay attention to the 2008 race probably know, Tom Vilsack has of the Democratic field. Quite simply, he did not have the money to remain competitive. Vilsack had around 14% of the vote in the latest Iowa poll. With him out, it will be interesting to see which candidates get a chunk of that 14%.
Lastly, I leave you with a brief video put together by the makers of the documentary Out Foxed (). Every week or so they put one of these together. Enjoy!
Have a nice Friday evening everyone!
