(Video) Chris Matthews and Terry Jeffrey bash bloggers

On Hardball, host Chris Matthews and his guests -- Ron Reagan and Terry Jeffrey -- discussed the controversy concerning the bloggers that work for John Edwards.  Ron Reagan tried to explain that if these bloggers were fired it would have sent the message that it was acceptable for campaigns to "torpedo" staffers from other campaigns throughout the upcoming '08 election cycle.  However, Chris Matthews and Terry Jeffrey wanted none of that, and vented their pre-determined negative views about online activism:

Kudos to John Edwards for standing strong on this one, even though he faced a lot of pressure to fire the staffers.

Reagan hit the nail on the head. Blogs incorporate sarcasm and satire, so you can't answer "yes" or "no" for some questions by reading a post or two.
