(Video) Texas Republican slams Bush's "demented philosophy of conquest"

Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX) stood his ground and joined the twenty-or-so other Republicans that will vote with House Democrats in favor of a non-binding Iraq resolution that condemns President Bush's troop surge.

Speaking of Bush, Congressman Paul was very straight-forward in his displeasure for Bush's "demented philosophy of conquest."  Here is a portion of his floor speech:

RON PAUL: "In recent decades, our policies have been driven by neoconservative empire radicalism; profiteering in the military industrial complex; misplaced do-good internationalism; mercantilistic notions regarding the need to control natural resources; and blind loyalty to various governments in the Middle East."

You can add Ron Paul's name to the small list of the few level-headed Republicans left in Congress.

First, Demos are worse than Republicans. You also have to look at all Ron Paul wants to accomplish. If we elect ANYONE else you are as stupid(including me) as can be. Enough is enough. After reading what I posted---I ap-prove of ths reply. Our political system is a mess----Ron Paul with common sense wants to fix it!n He does not have $100 million to spend. Show them that ordinary good people no matter if Republican-Democrat, Independent, Libetarian or whatever. Read or listen to what the man is saying!!!!

Ron Paul may well be the last hope to maintain what remains of a consitutional republic. The invasion by Mexico coupled with the intentional non-enforcement of immigration laws and exposed plans for an EU type of western hemisphere, tells me that unless someone steps up to stop the incremental destruction of our nation, what used to be known as The United States of America will cease to exist. I peg the final nail in the coffin as the current S1348. Heaven forbid our imposter Senators and spineless congress critters pass this sell out, it will not be 3 generations before foreign nationals and their anchor baby offspring will be outvoting the real Americans. I am working to help him carry Georgia, and to help defeat the two traitors we have in Chambliss and Isakson.
Memorial Day will mean squat after we have given our nation away. After that, any who participate in Memorial Day remembrances will only be brainless sheep who are blissfully ignorant.
