Chemical weapons attacks on the rise in Iraq

Over the last few months, there have been instances where Iraqi insurgents have packed their bombs with deadly amounts of chlorine.  Today, military strategists admitted that an attack yesterday by insurgents that sickened 350 civilians and 6 U.S. troops was indeed another one of those chlorine bombs.

We got rid of Saddam Hussein, who did not have weapons of mass destruction when we attacked.  It now turns out that the Iraqi civil war is being fought partly through the use of chemical weapons.  Go figure!

Today, the Australian Prime Minister pledged his support to the war in Iraq.  John Howard said that Australian troops would not leave until the terrorists are defeated.  If he truly feels that way, then maybe he should send more than 1,800 of his soldiers into Iraq.  As Howard said those words today, protesters marched in Sydney to mark the fourth anniversary since the war began.
