3.28.06 Blue Political Clips for Nightowls
It's finally the middle of the week. Ready for the stretch run crawl? As I post in the middle of each night, here are some of the popular political clips making headway on the internet at this hour.
- John McCain says Baghdad is safer. Let me respond to this in the same way Bill Maher did a few weeks ago. If a drunken man is abusing his wife and she calls the police, the husband would obviously not keep abusing her in front of the police. This escalation is restoring partial order to certain sections of Baghdad. But we did not kill all the insurgents. They obviously went somewhere, right?
- O'Reilly gets a prank call.
- Joe Lieberman cautiously optimistic about Iraq. So what's new? Same old Lieberman. Looks like we are turning the corner -- for the fourth time. That equals a square. Just keep following the leader and we'll keep turning the corner in Iraq for the next 20 years.
- House of Representatives considers the Rail Security Act. So who is soft on national security?
- Highlights of health care forum on Saturday.
More clips later today and tomorrow.
