(Video) Katie Couric second-guesses the Edwards family
Last night on 60 Minutes, instead of injecting at least an ounce of sympathetic understanding into the situation that the Edwards family is going through, CBS anchor Katie Couric put John and Elizabeth on the defensive. This might remind you of the "fair and balanced" journalism that you are used to seeing on the Fox News Channel.
I decided to go back and put together a montage of Katie Couric's questions:
If CBS thinks that their news team is better off now following the scapegoating and firing of Dan Rather, they are mistaken.
Amazing compilation job! Really drives home just how bad that interview was.

It reminds me of, I believe it was, OutFoxed, where the anchors keep saying over and over "some people say...".

I wonder if Katie would dismiss what "some say" if Elizabeth said "he wanted to withdraw, but I pleaded with him to continue"?
We don't know what went on behind closed doors.

Is the practice of journalists using "some say" bad? Don't White House reporters do this all the time with Bush/Snow? Is it only bad when the practice is employed on Democrats?

How can I contact CBS to express my disgust with this? Anyone know?

Of course Couric is awful! Of course 60 Minutes runs "railroad" pieces! I just think it is sad that you only whine about it when it runs against your grain. They finally don't softball one of "yours" and you get pissed. Nice.
