Military dot com reports that the soldiers fighting in Iraq will be spending less time at home before being redeployed back.
Currently, Army troops serve for about one year in Iraq and are supposed tobe home for one year before they deploy again. The Marine Corps sends its unitsto Iraq for seven months, with seven months intended at home station - thoughthat has been hard to attain for some in-demand units.

I understand that when enlisting intothe National Guard or Military Reserves, there are duties that are to beperformed, but when it comes down to deploying weekend warriors to a war zonebecause our military is wearing thin, it's time to take a deeper look into whatwe are doing there.
