Blue Nightowl Clips
As we post in the middle of each night, here are some of the political clips making their rounds on the blogs tonight:
- Electile Dysfunction at the Justice Department. This is borderline criminal, racist and unlawfully partisan!
- Chris Matthews debunks GOP talking points on the Iraq war. "Why do you guys resort to these cliches," Matthews said. Oh snap!
- Dick Morris on MSNBC media bias. This is laughable!! Coming from a Fox, too! commentator?
- Al Gore stump speech in 1992. Ah, the memories! Gore's verbal skill showed just why he was selected as Clinton's running mate.
More clips later today and tomorrow.
chris matthews makes a strong point. why don't the democrats make this argument? the president says he's the decider and tries to define his role to suit his argument. Why don't the democrats do the same thing. the executive branch's job is to execute the laws, which are written by the legislative branch. congress sets the initiative, the executive branch follows through on it. why don't they argue back on this constitutional struggle? The british parliament fought over this several times and eventually set the exec in place.
pelosi and Reid tiptoe around the topic and never address his cliches.
Bush is wrong on, and unpopular, why are they afraid to call him out?????

I'm with brien 100% on this.
Why?
What is really going on?

Following along with the line of thought, and yet another revelation of this Adminstration's Dictatorship trajectory, brought to us by the "Erectile Dysfunction" tape, check this out:
The United States has customarily chosen the president of the WORLD BANK, because of it's predominant financial contribution - More recently there has been some movement from other countries, who think this custom should be questioned. ~
Current response is: "Bush administration officials say that American leadership of the World Bank is essential to maintaining influence over its policies and priorities, including which bank programs and countries receive financing"
...no big surprise there.
Older rats in the barn have understood the power and function of these banks and monetary institutions for a long time.
I mean, give a moment's thought to the fact that Paul Wolfowitz, architect of the conservative right world domination program, so lethal GHWB, aka 41, ordered it to be dropped, was chosen by current admin. to be the World Bank president.
Ok, now - NOW check out the more recent activity:
"European countries customarily choose the chief of the bank’s sister institution, the INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND, though a European-American conflict has arisen there as well. Its focus is a drive supported by the Bush administration to reduce the European voting share in favor of China and other fast-growing countries."
IS EVERYBODY WATCHING!?
I have cut and pasted this from an NYT article which I went to through The Huffington Post. The emphasise are mine.

great comments brien and granny..
In my opinion Matthews is one of the most informed commentators out there. He is fair and honest.
I watched this Hardball segment and the "Major" really doesn't know what he's talking about. And when he replied to why MacArthur was fired "that's right", I say bullshit, he probably didn't know that.
This way of thinking "don't challenge the president/commander in chief" crap has got to stop.
He should have went on FNC, because they don't know what they're talking about either.
