Defense Dept: Sites Banned Solely for Bandwidth

BandwidthJust another crock from our government. The banning of certain websites bythe military (youtube, myspace etc) is being blamed solely on bandwidth. RearAdm. Elizabeth A. Hight, (vice director of the Defense Information SystemsAgency) admits that bandwidth usage has never reached a point where themilitary would be compromised, and the decision was "proactive". Whenasked " if it was hypocritical of the Defense Department to block accessto Web sites it uses to recruit troops and to which it uploads its own videos ofsoldiers in Iraq." she explained in a typical Bush administration"I'm the boss" sort of way..."NO."WaPo: 'Military Says Bandwidth Alone Forced Web-Site Blocking'

If bandwidth is the case, then why not just ban the bigger offenders (sites)of "bandwidth gluttony", then take another look at it?

IgotarockWe know they are full of crap, and it's obvious  when yougo to the MultinationalForces in Iraq's youtube page (MNFIRAQ), where you can watch some supervids of all the successes...such as 'IraqiBoy Scouts Prepare for Jamboree', and my personal favorite 'TroopsGive Gifts to Iraqi Children'. The gifts?, Charlie Brown was overheardsaying "Igot a soccer ball". Now fill the ball with water, food, electricityor peace...now THAT would be a gift.

The wrap up: $9billion was lost and reported on back in 2005, $100million went missing and reported on in 2005, and we're still being charged $28per Styrofoam plate by KBR. The one thing this world doesn't have a shortageof is the technology of bandwidth (please don't preach the $$ aspect of it). Ifyou aren't capable of figuring out how to get this bandwidth to the troops, youcould ask Bill Gates or...GOOGLE IT!!
