Just like the General said, It is getting worse

GenpWell we have to give in to this one, General Petraeus wasabsolutely correct when he said "Thingswill get worse before they get better" , not sure whether that callsfor an award or a courtmartial, actually it should call for an impeachmentfor the guy that got us in this quagmire. Oh they'll use this as a talking point"we said this...." for who  knows how long? (after all wedon't want to give the bad guys dates)

25more killed and at least 60 were wounded in Baghdad on Tuesday May 22 in acrowded outdoor market. This came 3 months after the security crackdown toreduce attacks._39011077_scene_2

BAGHDAD (AP) - A parked carbomb ripped through a crowded outdoor market in southwestern Baghdad on Tuesday, killing 25 people despite a 3-month-old security crackdown meant to reduceviolence in the capital.

At least 60 people were woundedin the 10 a.m. blast in the Shiite-dominated neighborhood of Amil. Nearbybuildings were badly damaged and set ablaze, while others were reduced torubble. Residents ran through the streets with buckets and pots of water, whileothers frantically tore through the rubble, looking for survivors. Groups of mencarried bodies wrapped in tarps out of the damaged buildings.

Now this is what I callsecuring an area, and I'm sure things are better for the Iraqi people with allthe successes, like successfullyeliminating electricity and watersupplies to the people of Baghdad. And the markets? Oh those are justwonderful,

``There were four women aroundmy stall when we heard a loud explosion, which threw me many meters away from mystall,'' said Fadhil Hussein, 32, who sells spices in the market and sufferedshrapnel wounds in his back and head. ``I found myself in a pickup truck withother people. Some of them were bleeding and yelling.''

Sami Hussein, 25, was headingto the market with her 5-year old son when she heard the blast, ``followed bygray and black smoke, which engulfed the market and made me to fall on theground.''

She suffered shrapnel wounds inher face and legs.

Storyiraqmarketafpgi``I lost my son, and have noidea about his fate,'' she said. Medical officials at the hospital said her sonhad been killed in the explosion. Read on...

There  goes leftyinterviewing lefty again, why not ask the real question? "did you atleast get what you came for?", and if the answer is "yes", thenthere ya go...yet another success for Iraq and the administration!

This came after 2 roadsidebombs killed 1 and wounded 8. I wouldn't want to be the person that has tolook the Iraqi people in the eye and say "oh and by the way, wefailed vote on an ending for the war, we'll catch ya next time". That'sright, the dems caved again.

060312_iraq_market_hlrg_11ahlarge_2Ahh, the sweet smell of success.
