As I post each morning, here are some of the political stories thatmight not be worthy of their own posts, but are nonetheless newsworthy:

- GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney said he expects a . This comes just before all '08 candidates are supposed to release their second quarter money totals.
- The of Fred Thompson are endorsing him. "I think he has a great chance of capturing the women's vote," said country music singer Lorrie Morgan, a former girlfriend.
- Today, John McCain will hold a $1,000 per person , who was among the Swift Boat veterans that attacked John Kerry's war record.
- Bill Richardson is surging in Iowa, according to an conducted by the Richardson team: Edwards - 31%, Clinton - 23%, Richardson - 18%, Obama - 16%.

- Nevada Democrats (): Clinton - 39%, Obama - 17%, Edwards - 12%, Richardson - 7%.
