As I post each morning, here are some of the political stories thatmight not be worthy of their own posts, but are nonetheless newsworthy:

- The House of Representatives narrowly defeated a measure that would have , after the Vice President claimed last week that he is not part of the Executive Branch.

- Hillary Clinton's campaign says it raised . This will be mightily tough for Obama or Edwards to compete with.

- : Shaheen (D) - 57%, Sununu (R) - 29%. Great news for Democrats! Sununu is the incumbent. If Shaheen wins, the Dems will pick up another Senate seat.

Oh, I know, I Granny! They need to stop talking about it and start doing!!! If Emanuel was really serious about it, then as a member of the Democratic House Leadership he would have got the votes in place to get it done. But no, the vote failed because he did not do an effective job to convince his own caucus to go along with it. That is a break-down in effort!
