Did anyone read the Bush speech?
Really, truly, mind bending what comes out of his mouth.

The unspeakable arrogance, and self congratulation, that accompanies a complete disconnect...

Start with:
"When Americans see suffering and know that our country can help stop it, they expect our government to respond"

~ and think Katrina

Move on to this: "African Education Initiative to help address the great need. Through this initiative, we have provided about $300 million to expand educational opportunities throughout the continent, and we're going to provide another $300 million by 2010."

~And consider our schools, where, for example, in one state I know of, the teachers have to start the day by bringing CHAIRS so there are places for the students to sit ...

How about this one:

"When America helps reduce chaos and suffering, we make this country safer, because prosperous nations are less likely to feed resentment and breed violence and export terror" ...

How would he know this, except from the examples to the contrary.

And if that's not mind blowing enough, then you have to consider the coverage by our press! Oh great balls of fire! The speech is 3/4 finished before the subject of "climate change" arises at all. Much less any mention of the fact that someone was given the job of going through the entire climate aspect to exponge the phrase "global warming" ~

~I can't think up a summation of the experience that is adequate. You've got to see it, to believe it. He really does just say ANYTHING!
