As I post each morning, here are some of the political stories thatmight not be worthy of their own posts, but are nonetheless newsworthy:
- Scooter Libby was of a courtroom on Thursday after he was told by the judge that he must serve his prison sentence, even if he appeals. In just a matter of weeks, Libby will report to prison.
- States can that raise money from non-union members for political purposes, due to a US Supreme Court ruling on Thursday.
- A Democratic-led Senate panel that increases veterans care and spends $50 million on post-traumatic stress syndrome and brain ailment research. It will head to the Senate floor for a full vote sometime before the 4th of July.
- Even after Karl Rove and Alberto Gonzales pulled all the strings to install Tim Griffin as a replacement for a fired U.S. Attorney, public service was just "not worth it."
- Democrat and Republican lawmakers have agreed to that was put on the shelves at the end of last week.
- Kurdish terrorists , the Anatolia news agency reported on Friday.
- Former President Bill Clinton from speaking engagements last year.
- For the Democratic and Republican debates that CNN will host, CNN will allow people to and have them asked to the candidates.
