Search continues for WMD's in Iraq

Picphoto060207un A team of 20 United Nations experts on chemical and biological weapons are continuing the effort to find the weapons that the Bush Administration said were there:

More than four years after the fall of Baghdad, the United Nations isspending millions of dollars in Iraqi oil money to continue the huntfor Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.

"I recognize this is unhealthy," said Dimitri Perricos, a Greek weaponsexpert who runs the team, known as the U.N. Monitoring, Verificationand Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC), and manages its $10 million annualbudget. But, he added, "We are not the ones who are holding the purse;the one who is holding the purse is the council."

What is the point of this other than trying to vindicate the Bush Administration original position?  The United Nations does not owe Bush anything.

Instead of spending millions of dollars of Iraqi oil money on finding something that doesn't exist, how about getting Baghdad's electricity up and running again?

"The United Nations does not owe Bush anything" ...

Maybe a closer look would be advisable.

Somebody must owe somebody something; or have something on somebody. Something's up.

"how about getting Baghdad's electricity up and running again?"

but that wouldn't be fair for the black marketers.
