The Sunday News Shows

It's that time again each week when we post the guests that will be on each of the Sunday news shows tomorrow:

ABC's "This Week" - Sens. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.; actor David Hyde Pierce.

CBS' "Face the Nation" - Former New York Mayor Ed Koch; political consultant Ed Rollins; actor Sam Waterston.

NBC's "Meet the Press" - Former presidential candidate Pat Buchanan; Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill.

CNN's"Late Edition" - Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet; Sens. KayBailey Hutchison, R-Texas, and Ron Wyden, D-Ore.; Dennis Ross, formerU.S. Mideast envoy; Egyptian Ambassador Nabil Fahmy; Israeli AmbassadorSallai Meridor.

"Fox News Sunday" - Sens. Trent Lott,R-Miss., and Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Cal Ripken Jr., formerBaltimore Orioles shortstop.

The notables are in bold lettering.

Not really the best week for Sunday news talk, that is for sure.  Though, there will be a few significant people on.

Ted Kennedy will try to salvage the immigration reform bill on ABC News' This Week.  It might be the final opportunity the Congress has between now and 2009 to get something done.  Nothing can happen in 2008 because that is a presidential election year, making it less likely that Republican lawmakers would support a guest worker program, fearing they might not win reelection.  Also, if Kennedy can generate support for the bill, then it will have saved John McCain's presidential campaign.  Because of the immigration issue, McCain has been slumping in the polls as of late.

Lastly, look for Dianne Feinstein will head onto conservative turf.  Look for her to continue making the case against Alberto Gonzales.

Pat Buchanan on TV?

Dont miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Agree with his political philosophy or not, Buchanan is a smart political strategist.
