Top-5 Political Clips of the Week

As we post at the end of each week, here are the top-five political clips over the last seven days.  Let's start our countdown with number five:

5) School play about Iraq war got canceled.

4) Romney changes his opinion on abortion.  This interview was a complete train-wreck.

3) The white board assessment of the costs and benefits of doing something about global warming.  This guy has turned into an instant star on Youtube.

2) Olbermann on Cheney thinking he is above the law.

1) High school student completely exposes Bill O'Reilly, and O'Reilly calls him a pinhead.

More clips tomorrow.

On Mitt Romney: First - nothing I say here should be construed as supporting Mitt Romney or what he really appears to stand for.

That said, I'm delighted that this guy is obfuscating, backing and filling, and thoroughly clouding the issue of the use of the phrase "pro-life". It's a term that has for far too long been co-opted by anti-abortionists. They are anti-abortionists, pure and simple, and the cause they espouse under the euphemism "pro-life" is about the protection of unborn life only, and that at the cost of other lives without discrimination.

I'd like to see the phrase back in the English language vocabulary without the hyphen, and the original meaning restored to good favor. Pro - middle English, Latin preposition: meaning "for" . Pro life: for life. That's what it means without the hyphen. That's what Romney's dodging around. And who'd have thought that a conservative would end up bringing this argument to the table. Delightful!

Jesse Lange should have his own show. He just threw down in O'Reilly's face. Beautiful.
