Blue Radar

As I post each morning, here are some of the political stories thatmight not be worthy of their own posts, but are nonetheless newsworthy:

  • In just the last year, there have been a record number of drug busts along the US-Mexican border.
  • Congressman Mike Simpson (R-ID) lashed out at Republican leaders for throwing Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) "under the bus."
  • Senator John Warner (R-VA) will decide next week whether to resign or serve another term.
  • Mike Huckabee is being considered by many GOP strategists as a great vice presidential choice.  "The idea of a Huckabee on the ticket has been floating around Republican circles for a while," wrote The Caucus blog.
  • Barack Obama is seeking to expose lawmakers and candidates that are bought by special interests.  "Barack Obama introduced legislation today that would signficantlyexpand disclosure of 'bundlers' who raise large amounts of money forpresidential and congressional candidates, according to The Swamp blog.
  • The Transport Workers Union of America is endorsing John Edwards for president.
  • North Carolina Democrats (PPP): Clinton - 30%, Edwards - 28%, Obama - 21%.
  • Pennsylvania Democrats (Keystone): Clinton - 38%, Obama - 21%, Edwards - 17%.

If we left something out, it's because we either wrote about ityesterday or are scheduled to do so in an individual post later today. Otherwise, feel free to add any stories in the commentbox.
