- RIGHT-WING EXTREMISM In an interview with the , conservative columnist Ann Coulter said America would be a lot better off if women did not vote. "If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry aboutanother Democrat president," Coulter began. "It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personalfantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. And it is agood way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, atleast single women."
- JUDICIARY A Massachusetts judge from a 51-year-old college student who sued the University of Massachusetts after he received a 'C' grade. He was supposed to get an 'A-', but the teaching assistant graded on a curve.
- CONGRESS Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV), who is third in line to the presidency behind Speaker Nancy Pelosi, spoke out on Thursday afternoon, slamming Congress for going along with the Bush Administration's "" on Iran. "It is deeply troubling to see the U.S. Senate joining the chest-pounding and saber-rattling of the Bush administration," Byrd said. "I am no apologist for the Iranianregime…but I fear that we may become entangled in another bloodyquagmire."
