Well, I think that these people should not be simply brushed aside. Whether the claims are completely bullsht or not should be debated. I mean if they are bs, than why not have an open debate and show people that. Rather than skirting questions and avoiding these people, challenge them.

I don't think anyone would have a problem with what you wrote. Yet, it's a television show. Those protesters should have shown more respect than that. They are in the audience. As Maher said, audience is Latin for "listen."

I'm with Maher. This was not a political debate and there wasn't a question and answer segment. If these people are serious, there certainly is a better place to spout off than on the Bill Maher show. Does he have some secret power we don't know about to promote their agenda even though he has stated he doesn't agree with it? He doesn't agree with them. It's his right.

I think Maher acted as he has always acted. It is his show and I think he was right about saying hey this is a debate between those of us on the stage. The Bill Maher show is not the place to act like that in the audience. No matter what you think Maher is right or wrong about as an audience your job is to watch it or not. Thats how you show him you don't care for him

Well-said KenoshaMarge and Robert. It's a TV show, not a townhall meeting. Or as Maher said, "This is not the Iowa Caucus."

I agree, Its not the proper forum for debate, but aside from that, the issue shouldn't be brushed aside.
