As I post each morning, here are some of the political stories thatmight not be worthy of their own posts, but are nonetheless newsworthy:
- ENVIRONMENT Al Gore and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will take part in a in New Hampshire on the issue of global warming.
- HUMAN RIGHTS Red Cross monitors have been from the US prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
- HOLIDAY President Bush has ordered the military to along the east coast in order to ease congestion, which over the last year has led to delays. These changes will be made during the holiday season next week.
- 2008 ELECTION/PRESIDENTIAL There is an anti-Mitt Romney taking place right now in New Hampshire, accusing the former Massachusetts Republican Governor of getting military deferments while serving as a missionary in France. "Whatever campaign is engaging in this type of awful religious bigotryas a line of political attack, it is repulsive and, to put it bluntly,un-American," Romney spokesman Matt Rhoades said.
- 2008 ELECTION/PRESIDENTIAL Barack Obama has won the of the United Auto Workers in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
- 2008 ELECTION/PRESIDENTIAL John Judis of the New Republic where Obama could overtake Hillary Clinton. (A very good read, if you are interested in political strategy.)
- 2008 ELECTION/PRESIDENTIAL On Chris Dodd's web site, he shows a of how much time each candidate was given to speak. Obama was given the most time, followed by Hillary, then host Wolf Blitzer. Dennis Kucinich was given the least amount of time.

- 2008 ELECTION/PRESIDENTIAL Iowa Democrats (): Clinton - 27%, Obama - 25%, Edwards - 21%.
