McCain flip-flops on significance of waterboarding
Last week, John McCain went on ABC's Sunday news show "This Week" and strongly opposed the practice of waterboarding:
In other words, the damage it does to US credibility will be loads more than anything we have to gain from that practice.
But for some reason, Senator McCain has decided to vote for President Bush's Attorney General nominee Michael Mukasey, even though Mukasey has to define whether waterboarding is a form of torture. Interesting.
Having praised George W. Bush to the skies in 2004, it doesn't behoove McCain to now go along with an assertion that could at some future point end up with The Decider clearing brush on the grounds at Club Fed ???‚¬??? as an inmate.

When will the media and/or Blogs begin to explore the possibility that if this country continues on its path with torturing. It will not take long before we torture for confessions of everyday crimes.
And you know we will have a 100% confession rate.
Torture Tom Delay for his corruption, Larry Craig for his air port latrine morse code, known drug abusers for crimes that need to be solved. Even waterboarding kids to confess to toilet papering Rush Limbaugh's house. If only we could put Rove and Cheney on the waterboard?
I did make some fun of this. But it is not funny and it won't be long for domestic waterboarding by our local police will be a reality. Its got to stop.......
