With still plenty of undecided voters remaining.
Barack Obama already stands on two faulty premises from which he refuses to budge.
He repeatedly claims before black audiences there are more young black men in prison than in college. In fact, more than four times as many are in college than prison. Obama continues to make the claim even though the Washington Post pointed out it is false.
Obama also presented a health plan that does not require universal participation. Health care experts generally agree the young and wealthy must participate in a universal health plan in order that it will be affordable by older and lower income individuals. Despite that health experts, including Jonathan Cohn who originally praised the plan, judge the plan to be flawed, Obama stands by it, refusing to consider expert opinion.
Obama's behavior, even in this early stage of campaigning, appears to be frighteningly like that of Bush's arrogant, divisive, "I'm the decider," "My way or the highway" approach to governing. Although I previously supported Obama, I don't want such a Democrat for president any more than I want such a Republican for president.
