Obama Reels In Major Endorsements

Here's a list of today's endorsers of Barack Obama for President:

Sen Ted Kennedy (D-MA) - The Boston Globe reports.

The San Franciso Chronicle - here

Rep Xavier Becerra (D-CA) - An important Latino leader in Congress.

Caroline Kennedy - Daughter of John F. Kennedy. See her editorial in the New York Times.

Gov Kathleen Sebelius (D-KS) - This one is not official just yet. She will respond to the State of Union tomorrow and likely endorse Obama afterwards.

All this in one day. Looks like thebluestate.com knows what we're talking about!

Todd, good showing for Obama. I have questions about his dealing while in Illinois though, after reading this article from CNN. What is the depth of his relationship with Mr. Rezko? Is he just another politician with ties to criminals? This whole land purchase seems to smell of another "Whitewater" incident. See this link: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/28/rezko.arrest/index.html

RJ: That money was given to charity now that it has been brought up. Yep, certainly a little blip for Obama, but cleverly dealt with on Florida voting day, when his campaign knew it wouldn't get any coverage.

Michel, the article is not about donation money. It's about a "shady" land deal between Obama and Rezko. Is it a coincidence that Obama and Rezko bought ajoining land on the same day, with Obama paying $300K less then the asking price for his property? Then, to have Rezko "sell" Obama part of his property? All during this time Rezko was being investigated for wrong-doings. We're not to believe this transaction came with a "hidden" cost for Obama? I think we can see through this. The only reality check is that I'm sure all the other candidates have skeletons such as this in their past, but Obama was supposed to be a new beginning. This makes him seem as just another politician. RJ.

Breaking news: John Edwards is out of the race! Don´t get me wrong, Edwards is an intelligent and honest politician, but in fact this is a race between Obama and H.C.! But respect for John Edwards that he did this step!

Even though I am for Obama I'm sad to see him go. I would have preferred an Obama Edwards race, that way would would almost be guaranteed a good president. Well played Edwards. I hope he endorses Obama and has a shot at being VP.

Jon,
Sorry to see your guy go. Obama is a great backup plan though. I really think that he'll amass power for the people and amass power thru the people and be able to push our agenda, and Edwards' agenda thru.

I was definitely there to see Sebelius announce her endorsement. It was exciting. Seeing him speak was the best thing I've ever skipped classes and drove 2 and a half hours to do.
