Obama thumps Clinton and Edwards in SC
From all the exit polls, this one wasn't even close. According to CNN exit polls, Barack Obama won 80% of the black vote, and barely lost the white vote. Every single network has called the race.
Huge news for the Obama campaign. He overcame the childish antics of the Clinton campaign. It sent the message that if you are trying to become the chief executive of the most powerful country in the world, you had better be able to pick your own fights, and not send your spouse out to do the fighting for you -- otherwise, you aren't qualified to lead.
great news!! can someone give a link to results?

Agreed. Obama smashed Hillary and Bill in South Carolina. And now that the "Bill is my Attack Dog" strategy is backfiring on Hillary, she's trying to distance herself from Bill. Is it just me or is she just absolutely crazy? Or is Bill running for a 3rd term?
Can't wait to hear Obama give his victory speech. I hope he gives his best speech yet and gets some serious momentum going into Super Tuesday.
Yes We Can Baby!

Wow - they called this race as soon as the numbers started to come in. Amazing.

He's still in this thing! Now I can only hope that all the talk of race doesn't turn off voters in the coming states. I would like to see Barrack win in a state where it can't be spun as "only a black victory".
I think any win is good and valid but I want to take all of the wind out of the sails of those who would exploit race for political gain.
Obama is bi-racial and he is always only looked at as half of himself by many people when he hasn't made a huge issue of it. But this win is good news, Obama continues!

This is a huge win for Obama. The racial breakdown doesn't really matter on a night like this. Obama has won an overwhelmingly white Iowa, nearly won an overwhelmingly white New Hampshire, and got over 50% and doubled Hillary Clinton in South Carolina.
