The latest Obama smear

This has been circulating throughout Israel and among the Jewish community in Florida:

Illinois Senator and Democraticpresidential candidate Barack Obama has been targeted in a recent smearcampaign which claims that he is a fundamentalist Muslim working foral-Qaeda in an effort to topple the US government.

An inflammatory mass e-mail that is circulating in the United States and Israel lays out the anonymous author's version of Obama's background.

One of the target audiences in thecampaign is clearly the American Jewish community because the e-mailhas also been sent out in Hebrew.

The writer attempts to portray Obama as an al-Qaeda stooge rhetorically asking: "So who is Barack Obama?"

He answers that, Obama's stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, introduced him toIslam by registering him at a Wahhabi Muslim school or madrassa inJakarta, Indonesia.

If Obama makes it to the general election, this is what will be headed his way.  This time, I think the country is much more mature and would dismiss this kind of thing.

This is ridiculous. I disagree that voters are smart enough to sort this out. Obama could really get swift boated here. He needs more support from established Democrats like Kerry.

My Mother-In-Law forwarded that email to me and my husband - she knows I am an Obama supporter, and she is a pretty right-wing republican, and she wanted to know if this was true because several of her friends had sent it. I think a lot of people have already been suckered by this, unfortunately.

I received that email about a week ago. I used to just delete that kind crap whenever I got it. But now I have a different strategy: I respond to EVERY name on the list of names on the email, with an attachment, usually the link to the listing of Republican Sex Offenders, or the Republican Pedophiles, etc.
It's amazing how much less of the crap email I'm receiving!

As the McCain attacks of his service as a prisoner and his "trading info for medical attention and favor over othr soldiers".

Obama’s efforts to connect to the Republican Party, specifically Bush, and Dick Chaney, of the Halliburton Company, dates back to the Presidents Grandfather, Prescott Bush, and indeed Chaney was once an executive officer of Halliburton.

The American military pounds Iraq with Artillary, bombs, and the like, destroying large sections of cities, and infra-structures, then Halliburton comes in to rebuild. Halliburton and Halliburton associated companies have raked in ten’s of billions.

Obama is just like the BIG HALIBURTAN. Haliburton has contracted to build detention centers in the U.S. similiar to the one in Quantanammo Bay, Cuba. Halliburton does nothing to earn the Two Dollars for each meal an American Serviceman in Iraq eats.

Halliburton was scheduled to take control of the Dubai Ports in The United Arab Emiirate. The deal was canceled when Bush was unable to affect the transfer of the American Ports.

Now we see what some might suspect as similiar financial escapading from the Democrats.

Alsammarae was accused of financial corruption by Iraqi authorities and jailed in Iraq last year before escaping and returning here.
