Don't sweat the war over 'Super Delegates'

Many of Barack Obama's supporters are worried that even if he continues this momentus string of wins through February the race will be decided by Washington establishment types who favor the Clinton family.  For a number of reasons, I don't think that will happen.  First, if Obama has a lead of 150 or more among delegates that were awarded by actual voters, it would be both unprecedented and unforgiveable for Super Delegates to go against the will of voters.  Many Democratic activists would revolt against the party.  Secondly, it wouldn't be smart for Super Delegates to do such a thing.  We all know that most politicians, as well as most people, act in their own self-interest.  If governors, senators and representatives felt that Barack Obama's nomination increased their chances of being reelected for another term, they would definitely chose that option.  And lastly, there is Howard Dean.  If he truly is an advocate of people-powered politics, he would be actively involved in trying to prevent the Clintons from manipulating their way to the top of the Democratic ticket.

So what does this mean?  Don't worry!  Let's just focus on us doing our part to win as many states as possible.  If Obama has a sizeable lead -- again, of at least 150 pledged delegates or more -- the Super Delegates will realize that going against Democratic voters on this one is not a smart move.

Todd, aren't the super delegates basically a way for the Democratic Party establishment to keep control of their nominees no matter who the people want? In Alabama, Obama handily won the vote, but Hillary was given many super delegates -- which basically negated his victory. Why does one party use the super delegates and not the other party? They're used so no person like Obama, who seems to have a majority of the population on his side, can beat the establishment candidate. Is this fair or is this another way for the heirarcy of the Democratic party to retain their control over events? RJ.

1. There are still about 1/2 of the total super delegates yet to endorse. I think a lot of that is because these delegates will endorse who their constituents vote for.

2. Obama going up by 150 would be overwhelming. I doubt Clinton could ever beat him by 150 super delegates anyway. Especially since the Republicans would come out in masses to vote away the Clintons once and for all.

3. Obama has to win Texas OR Ohio in March. That would be crippling to Clinton. This is it, plain and simple. Win one of them and the nomination is very likely.

That said, getting Clinton to quit seems unfathomable to me. Obama people need to work like hell for this still.

One thing you can be sure: Hillary is the Illuminati's choice as the next US president. John McCain is the elite-chosen "loser." The elite, not "We the People," control the vote. All the rest of the fluff is just a grand circus performance aimed at making us believe that we have some say in the matter.

Put simply: we don't. Get used to it. Hillary is one of the most influential people in the secret government's New World Order, and that group of unholy individuals has its reasons for rigging the voting process, so that various candidates in each party come out on top in one state or another. As long as these top-tier candidates remain hopeful of getting their party’s nomination, they will stick to Illuminati-approved topics and avoid critical issues. This keeps the true state of the union under wraps in their speeches and helps to keep voters uncertain about whom to believe and whom to trust in what is relentlessly publicized as an Al Qaeda-terrorized world. Hah!

Al Qaeda is nothing more than the creation of the Bushites and the mainstream media. How much more obvious can it be that the only candidates who are not under the thumb of the Illuminati are the ones who are all but excluded from media attention? In the midst of all this insanity, it's no coincidence that the establishment media censors, marginalizes, lies about and does their best to make a mockery of candidates like Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. Ron Paul is the only candidate who does not speak in the platitudes of political-speak. We have not even seen a real "debate" in which he and the phonies actually discuss intellectual and philosophical issues about the current economic crisis caused by our overreaching empire of destruction. Real ideas never fit into 30-second sound bites for 90-second "debate" responses.

Young people who do not remember much more than the Bush II regime should not have the false hope that a Democrat in the White House will be significantly different. The history of the past century has been one of perpetual war and loss of liberty.

Unless there is real "change" in this country, the last vestiges of freedom we have left will be gone. The thinking that we are electing our "Commander-in-Chief" demonstrates the degree to which we have been conditioned into slavery to the state. The president is only commander-in-chief of the military, not each citizen. Tho' candidates like Obama and McCain are calling for "national service" requirements. It would be ironic if the first African American president (Bill Clinton excluded) reinstituted slavery. Any kind of government requirement to "serve," whether in the military or the Peace Corps is slavery.

While on the subject of slavery, it is also significant to address the advocates of "peace" on the left. At least during Republican wars or aggression, those on the left seem to be the biggest "anti-war" activists. Yet they refuse to support a real anti-war (more appropriately "anti-aggression") candidate like Ron Paul because he doesn't conform to their domestic agenda of more taxes and government handouts.

For those of you who may not understand libertarianism, it is really quite simple:

1. No individual has the moral authority to initiate aggression against another individual.

2. No individual or group has the moral authority to initiate aggression against another individual or group by calling themselves "the government."

With regard to the first point, just about everyone is a libertarian. The problem is that most people do not carry this logic any further than their personal relationships. They rightly understand that theft, murder, and rape are not good things for individuals to participate in, then somehow ignore the immorality of these evils on a mass scale by referring to them as taxes, war, and regulations. This is why statists get annoyed when we libertarians don't use their euphemisms to describe their acts of aggression. Your belief in the role of government comes down to the question of voluntary versus coercive relationships.

Admittedly, Ron Paul will not promise you a better life, but he is promising to be the champion of liberty. With the Executive Branch of government now almost a de facto elected monarchy, I cannot legitimately endorse him or anyone else to take on this illegitimate power to run our lives. I can, however support Ron Paul as the only one we can trust to resist the power of the office as someone who will work to minimize its authoritarian rule and return that power to Congress and the people.

It is my thought that many if not most Obama supporters, deep down, really support liberty, too. Thus, my plea to them to reconsider their support for him. They certainly are on record supporting "change." Well, Ron Paul offers real change.

The Clintons have bought and paid for the Democratic super delegates at this point. Those delegates will vote for Hillary faster than Bill could drop his pants at a Girl Scout Jamboree. Jeff Greenfield of CBS is saying that this convention is going to be 1968 revisted. The cops will have their tazers charged.

Now is the time for "We the People" to reclaim the democratic principles that once made this fine nation great. God bles America.

Where can I get a freezer that a human body will fit into? Becuase I want to be frozen at -10 farenhight for all time. But theres a Law in the U.S.A that says all frozen human corpses have to have a docter on call every day.

Where can I get a kids helium party balloon made ready that is 1 inch bigger when its inflated so it goes higher in the sky when released. I believe there are invisible alien flying suacers that will take the balloon after I cut the string and slice my nuckle with a disposable shaving razor so I can dab drops of blood onto the balloon. The Aliens up there will see my baloon when I release it. I want a baloon that has 2 glow in the dark X symbols on it that will shine at night. If I had been in Pheonix Arizona when there was that UFO sighting at night around April 22 2008 I would of wanted a miniture can of helium that is portable so I can be ready to send up my baloon with my blood on it. I might be cloned by the space aliens.
