Todd, why did barak Obama's campaign call the Canadians to let them know he would be speaking our against NAFTA, but it was only going to be "campaign retoric" and shouldn't be viewed at face value? Why is he saying things people want to hear, but clearly not planning on taking any real action? Cut and paste the below link view the web page.

Both the campaign and the Canadian official in question have now denied that report.

Actually, Canadian TV has just released the name of the Obama campaign person who spoke to them. See the excerpt below from their article today.
"However, the Obama camp did not respond to repeated questions from CTV on reports that a conversation on this matter was held between Obama's senior economic adviser — Austan Goolsbee — and the Canadian Consulate General in Chicago."
At least with Hillary, we know what we're buying. RJ.

You can believe what you want RJ, but that sounds like a Clintonesque 11th hour smear if I ever have heard one.
Why would the Obama camp, knowing the people of Ohio generally hate NAFTA, do anything to hurt themselves like that days before the Ohio primary? That's just bad politics. Even if the Obama camp wanted to say that to the Canadians, wouldn't they wait untill AFTER the Ohio primary?

MSNBC has been re-playing the debate from earlier this week. After watching it a second time, it's dawned on me how on his game Obama was. Hillary came across as tired, desperate and pretty cheap in her attacks.
As for Obama, Texas looks like a win for him on Tuesday, unless something dramatic happens. Vermont will be a win as well. As for Ohio...well...we'll see. It's close. Rhode Island will be a Clinton win.

Clinton did look desperate as she clinged to the healthcare argument to begin the debate. As if when you become President your health care plan becomes the law immediately. Then she followed with the bizarre SNL comment. Followed by Russert nailing her on NAFTA.
Russert was too much of a factor overall. His questions felt like cross examinations.
Obama nailed the liberal question at the end too.
