Another Racist Comment from Clinton Surrogate

This time it's from former vice presidential candidate Geraldine Ferarro -- not surprisingly a Clinton supporter:

"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in thisposition," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) hewould not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who heis. And the country is caught up in the concept."

Too bad for Ferarro, who just tarnished her own reputation by playing both race and gender politics at once.  Whatever happened to substance?  Divide and conquer politics -- precisely the kind of politicking we will see if she or McCain becomes president.

What I find funny is that Obama has not once brought race or gender as a defining point into this campaign. The Clinton campaign continues to find ways to push both race and gender into the mix every opportunity they get. Voters will see through it though, as just another way that Clinton will do whatever it takes to win at any cost.

I am appalled at the recent comments made by Geraldine Ferraro speaking on behalf of the Hillary Clinton Campaign; her remarks were blatantly racist and therefore divisive. I’m equally appalled at the notion to have a revote in Florida and Michigan it is absurd to suggest changing the rules to accommodate a win for Hillary Clinton, if both states were clearly warned about consequences for changing their primaries, why would anyone entertain the idea of changing the rules in the middle of the game? Please do not allow this campaign to destroy the Democratic Party and further divide the nation along racial lines…..”The race card” is once again being played for political gain by the Clinton campaign and it appears as though the Democratic Party does not recognize the danger in a divided party in the upcoming November election. If the “ugliness” of the Clinton campaign continues the Republicans will be guaranteed the Victory in November. Whoever the nominee is needs to have the ability to unite and that will not happen if half the party is nursing hurt feelings.
