Putting to bed the VP chatter

The Clintons seemed to have thought they found a way to eat into Obama's support.  By suggesting he should be a VP, the idea becomes raised of a so-called "dream ticket" (more like a meaningless ticket to me).

Today, Barack Obama hit back the way he should have a few days ago:

“I don’t know how somebody who’s in second place can offer the vice presidency to someone who’s in first place.”

“If I’m not ready, how is it that you think I should be such a great vice president?” Mr. Obama said. “Do you understand that?”

I have to hand it to Obama.  For being a political newcomer, he is definitely adapting well.  As a political strategist in progress, he has built a movement more powerful than any the Clintons have created over the last three decades.  Obama is the real deal.  His campaign just needs to do a better job of responding to attacks faster.  In facing the Clinton family, the Obama campaign has its hands full.
