McCain thinks Hamas prefers Obama

And so John McCain's dirty attacks continued during a conference today with conservative bloggers:

All I can tell you Jennifer is that I think it's very clear who Hamaswants to be the next president of the United States. So apparently hasDanny Ortega and several others. I think that people should understandthat I will be Hamas's worst nightmare....If senator Obama is favoredby Hamas I think people can make judgments accordingly.

Just another effort by the right-wing to brand Barack Obama as un-American, even though Obama truly has lived the American dream.

Todd, your heading says:

"McCain thinks Hamas prefers Obama"

The link you have to the Weekly Standard seems to confirm that, in fact, Hamas does prefer Obama since they have endorsed him. So are you questioning why Hamas has endorsed Obama or why McCain is just stating what is obviously a true fact?

Of course Hamas would prefer Obama! They don't want John McCain becuase he would actually fight them. He would try to stop them from terrorizing Israel and God forbid the United States! Obama however would pull out of the middle East, let it be a land festering with hate, and one day that hate will materialize into attacks on the United States. There is absolutely no question on which candidate terrorists would prefer.

One more thing, Todd, are you saying that John McCain has not lived the American Dream? Barack Obama has lived it, and if he is elected President, chances are going down for other people to live it.

I feel such pain for ignorant people inbreaders so afoul with the "stink" they wear.

Mccain is a politician remember somebody with no brains like his supporters.

Poor 21st century nothing learned nothing gained alas the true Rome as raised it's ugly head .

"SPQR"

Interesting Gary. Very insightful. Thank you.

Huh, McSameasbu$h wants us to pick a President based on what Hamas prefers? What's up with these Republican Presidential candidates and their dim followers wanting to give terrorists and other enemies the power to decide who we should vote for.

VMP, how did the Republican Presidential candidates and their dim followers give terrorists the power? Did you read the link in the original post on TheBlueState? Hamas said they wanted Obama -- McCain just refered to what Hamas said.
Maybe you just wanted to impress us with your "McSameabu$h" analogy, but you didn't. Try keeping the posts on a logical, professional level and we'll have some good discussion.

RJ, the Republicans have been using fear and propaganda for quite some time now to try and get a vote their candidates, too bad you don't get it. We had Saint Ronnie who claimed that we needed to vote for him because supposedly Khomeini didn't want him elected, then with Bu$h it was bin Laden, now its McSameasBu$h and Hamas. BTW, I call him McSameasBu$h because that's exactly how I see him, frankly, I couldn't care less about impressing you or anyone for that matter, nor am I the least bit interested in having a discussion on any level about some war monger who I won't vote for.

Its good to see so many conservatives reading liberal blogs but the Blue State is simply pointing out the right-wing use of such endorsements to put fear in the heart of Americans to vote for more of the Same which is Jonh McCain.

McCain said today "if we pull out of Iraq, we will have to go back in." That is not true. When we pulled out of Vietnam, we never went back. When the Russians pulled out of Afgahnistan, they never went back. And the Russian communist never took Vietnam over. And the America-sytle democracy never took hold in Afgahnistan. Why? Because Vietnam and Afgahnistan like Iraq were/are emboiled in civil wars. McCain knows this. Heck he spent more time in Hanoi Hilton than he wanted to and he never once called for the military to go back there as a senator.

VMP, first it's your opinion that I don't get it. You have infered that, but I didn't say it. Next for someone so intent on not discussing McCain, why have you made a pet name for him and spent two posts on him? Your hatred is blinding you instead of allowing you to have a rational discussion. Of course McCain is going to use security, is this new to you? Also, from someone who was around during the Carter/Reagan time, it was commonly known that Iran gave up the hostages just prior to Reagan's inaugeration because they knew he would not play around with them. So it worked for them then, why not keep trying it? Although McCain is not my choice, I do not see him as another Bush term. He's different from him on alot of points, but they are from the same party and do use security as a major hit item. It's a Dem strategy to classify him as a third Bush term. We'll see if it works or if there should have been another approach. I don't like "branding" politics. The Rep's brand Obama on Wright's words and the Dem's brand McCain on Bush's words. When do we just look at the candidate as "themselves"?????

I really like that the level of debate here has risen since I've been away. I mean that honestly not as a sarcastic jab at anyone. I do think that if we are honest about having a real debate we need to show some amount of civility to the opposing sides candidates. To not do so cheapens valid arguments.

While I do nothing to demean McCain's service to the country, he has shown a lack of knowledge about the Middle East in general let alone the intricacies of specific conflicts. I'm not sure he has as much credibility on national security as republicans are hoping.

Can any hot dog reprter get out their and bite on the Republican bait?

Ask McCain when he last spoke to Hamas and who in Hamas told him so?

Or Mr Straight Talk did either make it up, or are you spreading rumors?

When these cornball stories get paid by the GOP to be placed on their blogs. McCain needs to be scared straight into answering where and who exactly gave him this Hamas information and how did they recieve it? By Hamas email or camel express?

This is like the story that Osama Ben Laden wants Kerry as President. Never did I see one accounting of its facts and origination. Why?

This story has been totally discredited WABC in NY
said today that it had brought a false accusation against Hamas.Seems the radio host did not verify the credibility of the interview the Hamas leader never said anything...It was an imposter!

So more of the same inuendo affecting all parties in this election.A shame that journalism is driven to such low levels for love of ratings which equal money and character assasination of political figures.

Sad that all sides are a sham in this debate 1950's relived can't we learn people!
