Now We Can assign "them" weapons and finally win this war!!

AmericablogtvliebermanseesprogressiAfter seeing Lieberman arrive in Iraq and donning his flakvest and Kevlar,I had to laugh and ask myself "didn't he pack a khaki shirt to enhance the illusion?I suppose you don't go to war with the body protection and clothing you want, you go with want you have.

Anyway, the  post 'Editorial:Lieberman, please leave our party' prompted the following dark humorpost.

I just know these guys can get the job done, we have the #1 cheerleader rooting for us!Cheerldr_bush

At this point I do not believe the politicians are voting with their heartsor using common sense to decide their votes. It is all about self/party gain. ANYONEthat says things are getting better is just plain old full O' crap. i.e."we had a great success today, a Humvee passed right by an IED (or it looked like a good place to hide one) and itdidn't go off". Come on guys, let's stop this and start being honest.

Here are a couple of helpful Reference sites worthy to bookmark.

These patriotic safe at home politicians could get the job done (I'm sure they could) The only change I would make would be to alter their gear. This would even up the playing field for their lack of combat service (excluding McCain, he can have the current issue armor) (I couldn't pass up the Dukakis pic)

Stooges

We can suit them up with these ole' reliables, and  be assigned this top of the line Humvee (vid)

At least they wouldn't be walking, so they wouldn't complain, or piss and moan (ingrates)

Q: What Do You Call a Song Titled 'Let's Impeach The President'? A: A Good Start

I feel compelled to find and post the truth every time I hear Our GreatPresident open his mouth which has become synonymous with lying. Thanks again to "granny" for sending us the link for the video.

It didn't take the liberal bloggers and general long public to react and speak outagainst the dems for caving in on the funding bill. And it seems that theybetter grow a set quickly before we start shopping around. Think about this fora moment, you tell your spouse or significant other you are going shopping, butinstead go to a friends house...simple right? umm, NO!, you are confronted bythem and are told you lied. Maybe that's a simple minded analogy, but comparethat to The President of the United States lying on an ongoing basis, changingthe story and then his supporters actually lie further to support him. Wrong, just plain old everyday kindergartenly,  fundamentally, unacceptably wrong.

Well lets start this thing....

'Let's Impeach The President' Song by Neil Youg. Check out Neils page of Song Videos HERE.(check out the hompage)The Lyrics are HERE.

I do not like Andy Dick in just about everything I have ever seen himin...except this video

'Bush Idiot Speech'

Here is a huge list of anti-warsongs worth a peak. Listof Bush lies.

There is just so much more content which could be added to this post, but Ineed to move on from this "consumption" of me.

Chief of Staff Might be the Toughest Job in America

It seems that White House Chief of Staff  Joshua Bolten is caughtbetween a rock and a hard place in doing his job with the Bush administration.

Washington Post: ForBush's Staff Chief, A Thorny First Year

In just under a year as White House chief of staff, Joshua B. Bolten hasengineered a thorough overhaul of top administration personnel, pushed to end"happy talk" about conditions in Iraq, and tried to reposition thepresident on issues such as the environment, the budget, detainee treatment andhealth care.

Yet as Bolten approaches his first anniversary on the job, he and thepresident he serves find themselves as politically besieged as ever. PresidentBush's approval ratings -- 36 percent, according to the most recent WashingtonPost-ABC News poll -- are lower than when Bolten took over last April. And thepresident is embroiled in new controversies involving his attorney general andthe handling of military health care, while trying to fend off an unexpectedlystrong challenge to his Iraq policy from congressional Democrats.

Partof the problem is he is dealing with a White House that values political loyaltyover competence, according to many lawmakers, political strategists andadministration officials.

It seems that Bush loyalists will do or say anythingno matter how unfavorable to the country, as long as Bush would approve of it.

Bush isn't a big fan of letting people do their jobs, but that'sanother story altogether.

31% of conservatives want Democrats in control of Congress

The latest AP Poll just released today puts Bush's approval rating at 33% -- an all-time low:

Job approval: Bush's job approval was at 33percent, his lowest yet in the AP-Ipsos poll. People with the harshestviews of Bush's job performance tended to be non-whites, women withcollege degrees, single women, people in the Northeast and those whosay their financial situation is weak. Approval ratings by householdincomes show trouble for Bush among upper-income Americans, a bracketthat normally favors the GOP. While he gets his highest job approvalrating (49 percent) from the $50,000-to-$75,000 bracket, only 31percent of Americans with household incomes exceeding $75,000 give Bushgood marks.

Congress: A fourth of Americans, 25 percent, nowapprove of the job Congress is doing, down 5 points in a month and anew low in AP-Ipsos polling. Nearly two-thirds, 65 percent, ofconservatives disapprove, as do 73 percent of moderates and 82 percentof liberals. Six in 10, 61 percent, of Republicans disapprove, as do 80percent of Democrats and about as many independents. Disapproval ofCongress increases with age: 18-29, 54 percent; 30-39, 63 percent,40-49 and 50-64, 77 percent, and 65 and over, 83 percent. Only 2percent of Americans strongly approve of how Congress is handling itsjob, compared with 34 percent who strongly disapprove. No difference bygender on Congress job approval overall, but men (40 percent) were morelikely than women (29 percent) to strongly disapprove.

Control of Congress: Half, 51 percent, want theDemocrats to win control of Congress, including 31 percent ofconservatives, 59 percent of moderates and 81 percent of liberals. Tenpercent of self-described Republicans prefer Democratic control ofCongress compared with only 2 percent of Democrats preferringRepublican control.

Right direction/wrong track: Right direction/wrongtrack was 44-51 at the start of Bush's second term, 33-64 at the end of2005, 35-61 in February and it's 23-73 now. Those now saying thecountry is on the wrong track include: 62 percent of conservatives, 77percent of moderates, and 92 percent of liberals. Half, 49 percent, ofRepublicans, 94 percent of Democrats and a clear majority ofindependents think the country is on the wrong track.

This reminds me of one of those falling dreams, where you keep falling and hope that you wake up.  But for this President, the dream might be a never-ending one.
