Hillary county chair responsible for new racist Obama hit piece

Now we know the identity of the individual that forwarded the Obama Madrasa email a few days ago, which had been forwarded all over Iowa.  It was a Hillary Clinton Iowa county chair that circulated the email, as uncovered by a diarist at Daily KOS.

Here is the email:

Who is Barack Obama?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu , Hawaii , to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM from Nyangoma-Kogel , Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from Wichita , Kansas .

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii . When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya . His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia .  When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia . Obama attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is quick to point out that, 'He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school.'

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father and that this influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya  soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta .

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.  Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major public office in the United States , Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.  ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran (Their equivalency to our Bible, but very different beliefs)

Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the U.S. from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the President of the United States , one of their own!!!!

Please forward to everyone you know. Would you want this man leading our country?...... NOT ME!!!

Is this how Hillary Clinton plans to win Iowa?

GOP mocks Democratic debate

The Republican National Committee set up a quiz game on their web site that allows web surfers to answer multiple choice smear questions about the Democratic candidates.

Some of the questions actually don't make much sense.  Nonetheless, here is the quiz.

You would think that with all the GOP fundraising woes they would have more productive things to do.

Anti-Obama smear group broke election laws

In 2004, a relatively obscure local group called Empower Illinois released a few hateful, yet unsuccessful political ads against then-Senate candidate Barack Obama.  Three years later, they are being penalized by the FEC for violating election finance laws:

The Federal Election Commission has fined a 527 group that aired adsduring Barack Obama’s 2004 Senate campaign, suggesting he “wants toteach sex … to kindergartners,” opposed “tougher penalties for gangbangers who kill innocent children” and “supported abortion even afterthe child was born alive.”
The Empower Illinois Media Fund violated campaign rules by raisingmoney to defeat Obama without registering with the FEC as a politicalcommittee or complying with federal contribution limits and reportingrequirements, according to a settlement last month with the commission. The group agreed to pay a $3,000 penalty and retroactively report itsexpenses and contributors.

Though the group appears to have shut down after Obama, a Democrat, defeated Republican Alan Keyes, some of the attacks it leveled havebeen resurrected as Obama has emerged as a leading presidentialcandidate.

In following politics as much as I have since 2001, I have never heard of this organization, nor have I seen any of the ads they released.  I am unable find any of their ads.  With these FEC fines on their resume, the Republicans had better search long and hard for a new front group to attack Obama with just in case he wins the nomination.  At the moment, none exist.  Only passionate conservatives like this guy:

Lies and Hypocrisy

Bill_o_site On Monday's (7/16) O'Reilly Factor Wild Willy set his gears into motion and went on a tear against Jet Blue for "advocating" far left radicalhate.

"What do you think of someone who says the following: 'The world wouldbe better off without him.' That came after Tony Snow announced his cancer hadreturned. Or this: 'The Pope is a primate' ... 'evangelicals are nut cases' ...and some attacks against coalition forces in Iraq are legitimate. All of thosethoughts were posted on a vicious far-left web site called the DailyKos, one ofthe worst examples of hatred America has to offer. That web site is having aconvention in Chicago, and only one major company has stepped up as a sponsor -JetBlue, the airline that melted down this winter. We contacted JetBlue to askwhy it would sponsor a hateful web site. There was no answer, so we sentproducer Jesse Watters to see JetBlue CEO David Barger, who said there is 'noalignment' between the business and politics, and JetBlue customers will 'drawtheir own conclusion.' It is beyond belief that a company like JetBlue wouldsponsor hate mongers like the DailyKos. There comes a time when Americanconsumers have to take a stand and this is one of those times. This isn't anideological issue - if a company was sponsoring a David Duke convention we'd dothe same story. Hate is hate, no matter where it comes from."

-Firstof all, what O'Reilly is referring to are comments left by visitors, nota "post" by The Daily Kos (asJane Hall points out in video). Jane Hall is probably one of the few reasonably fair & balanced commentators on FNC.

O'Reilly did a follow up segment onThursday's show (7/19) 'JetBlue Changes Course'

"Earlier this week we confronted JetBlue CEODave Barger about his airline's sponsoring a conference held by the hate-filledweb site 'Daily Kos.' The hate this web site traffics in rivals KKK and Naziweb sites. Well, today the CEO sent us a statement saying 'we've asked tohave our name removed from their website to avoid confusion.' The mistakeJetBlue made was hooking up with haters. Any corporation or politician whoassociates with character assassins and/or defamers with will be scrutinized. Anumber of Democratic politicians are set to speak at the Kos convention, andwe'll report on that next week. Unfortunately, some Americans do wallow in hate,so an Internet site can do some business peddling that garbage, and there are afew radio and TV performers who make a living smearing people as well. Butcorporations and powerful people must understand their responsibility to rejectthe haters and not support them in any way. That's what JetBlue missed, but weare really glad they have re-thought the situation."

It'simportant to point out that O'Reilly (in his own words) "you have to policeyour site, we do"...so in essence they go through the messages or previewbefore posting the comments by the "Members" (the only way toparticipate in O'Reilly's message boards, or to listen to his Radio Factor is to pay for a premiummembershit). Censorship on a blog, message board, discussion forum orcomment section in my opinion is basically fear of opinion. O'Reilly's choice ofpointing out a far right radical hater is a pretty poor choice, Fred Phelps of the  WestboroBaptist Church and their website GodHates Fags isn't even taken seriously by most. Wild Bill could have chosen AnnCoulter, Glenn Beck,Michael Savage etc. as afar right hater site.

You may ask "why watch O'Reilly...it's a waste of time", well I look at it this way, if I had two children and one was self efficient, reliable and truthful, and one that was an evil dangerous lier, I would most likely keep my eye on the latter.

Another interesting point where the Daily Kos asks why O'Reilly doesn't go after AOL. Read the hate thats spewed on AOL's discussion boards HERE

Bill O'Reilly-Jane Hall Jet Blue

Bill O Bashing Jet Blue

Bill O does mention Jet Blue provided him with a list of things they do for the military, and he does post them on his site, however after listing six of the things they do, his last bullet point is "...and more" (and MORE?, well list them). No Spinning in a Fair and Balanced world? ...not Fox and certainly not O'Reilly.

Lieberman slams "vested interest groups" on the left

Picphoto070207lieberman In what appeared to be a direct shot at the blogosphere, when asked which party he would back for president, Joe Lieberman slammed Clinton and Obama for agreeing with left-leaning interest groups about the war:

Democratic candidates including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obamaand John Edwards oppose the Iraq war out of deference to "vestedinterest groups within the left."

"It's a very disappointingissue," Lieberman said. "The leading Democratic candidates forpresident are competing with each other to see which one can morequickly pull more of our troops out of Iraq, while our troops are therefighting and now succeeding with a lot on the line."

It all boils down to what you consider to be an 'interest group'?  An interest group could be passionate citizens that organize to end the war.  An interest group could also be the defense industry that donated $120,100 to Lieberman's '06 Senate campaign.   So it depends how you look at it.

Renovations to the Gores home

Image_98After listening to Sean Hannity's (among other's) constantattempts at smearing Al Gore and trying to get everyone in the phone bookto say he is a hypocrite, I can't express how pleased I was when AssociatedPress Writer Erik Schelzig interviewedAl Gore about his 'green' lifestyle and his TN home's "green-ness".This information has been out for a couple of week, but is a great"at-a-glance" reference and worthy of having on hand.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Al Gore, the environmental activist stung by051031_gore criticismover his house's energy efficiency, said Friday that renovations are nearlycomplete to make it a model "green" home

"This plan has been in the works for a long time," the former vicepresident said in an interview with The Associated Press. "The only thingthat has changed is that we're more public about it because of the misleadingattack by a global-warming denier group."

Earlier this year, a conservative group criticized Gore, citing electricbills that were far more than the typical Nashville home. Utility records
showed the Gore family paid an average monthly electric bill of about $1,200last year for its 10,000-square-foot home.

Gore's renovation project, which he said has been in the works for months, seeks to meet the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, or LEED,standards established by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Once his upscale neighborhood changed zoning laws earlier this year, Gore wasable to place solar panels on his roof, and he's now preparing to
install a geothermal system that will, among other things, drastically reducethe cost of heating his pool.

Gore is also upgrading windows and ductwork, installing more energy-efficientlight bulbs and creating a rainwater collection system for
irrigation and water management

The home houses offices for Gore and his wife, Tipper, as well as acommercial kitchen for formal events.

Drew Johnson, president of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research, thegroup that initially criticized Gore, said the "renovations areobviously in direct response to our finding that he's a hypocrite on the issueof global warming." Read on...

WhenHannity tried to get Arnold Schwarzenegger to buy into his "Gore's a hypocrite"theory-smear on 'Hannity's America', the governor responded to Hannity's long winded sales pitch:

Thegovernor diplomatically brought it up himself. Schwarzenegger said focusing onhow much a public figure contributes to global warming is fair game. "But Idon't think you should crucify someone like that, because if he does so muchgood and inspiring people and changes millions and millions of people to drivewith clean cars and inspires millions of people to use less energy, less waterand all of those things but in the meantime maybe he drives the bigger car, Ithink it is some what of an unfair thing to go and attack him. Yes there is ahypocrisy, absolutely."

Wonderingmind42On a global warming note: In lastnight's 'BlueNightowl Clips' post, we featured a video titled 'TheMost Terrifying Video You'll Ever See', where a rather knowledgeable H.S.science teacher  simplifies the global warming issue using common sense, and in a very humble way. His 3 follow-up videos titled 'PatchingHoles' (1,2 & 3) are more than worthy of viewing.

Giuliani attacks Romney's Mormon faith

Picphoto060507giuliani Taking a page out of Bush's 2000 smear strategy against McCain, this week the Giuliani Campaign circulated a story to right-wing bloggers in an attempt to instill fear about Mitt Romney's Morman religion.  This is pretty despicable:

Today, however, a blogger has provided me (on condition of anonymity)an email from the Rudy Giuliani campaign drawing attention to an article from today's Salt Lake Tribunetying Mr. Romney to a disavowed Mormon prophecy of a "White Horse" thatwill ride onto the national stage to save the Constitution.Picphoto060507morman

Generally speaking, the "White Horse" myth finds that the second coming of Christ will happen when the constitution is hanging by a thread.  The man on the White Horse will ride in and save the constitution.  Giuliani's people insinuated that some people believe Romney will be that White Horse -- obviously an attempt to poke fun at the prophecy, and make a general statement about the absurdity of Romney's religion in general.

According to a column this morning in the Salt Lake Tribune, the Giuliani Campaign has apologized for the mess-up:

This "is not acceptable," said Tony Carbonetti, Giuliani's senior campaign adviser.  "We extend our sincere apologies to Governor Romney and reaffirm our commitment to running a clean campaign."

In tonight's debate, we will see more examples  of that same brand of campaign cleanliness.

McCain aide: Obama wouldn't know difference between RPG and a bong

Picphoto052507mccain Over the last day, John McCain and Barack Obama have been going at one another over the Iraq funding bill.  It all started yesterday when McCain said Obama and Clinton were waiving the white flag to Al Qaeda by voting against the Iraq funding bill:

"I wasvery disappointed to see Senator Obama and Senator Clinton embrace the policyof surrender by voting against funds to support our brave men and womenfighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"This vote may win favor withMoveOn and liberal primary voters, but it's the equivalent of waving a whiteflag to Al Qaeda."

Obama fired right back:

"Governor Romney and Senator McCain clearly believe the course we are on in Iraq is working, but I do not," Obama said.

"If there ever was a reflection of that, it's the fact thatSenator McCain required a flack jacket, ten armored Humvees, two Apacheattack helicopters, and 100 soldiers with rifles by his side to strollthrough a market in Baghdad just a few weeks ago."

And then McCain responded:

"By the way, Senator Obama, it's a 'flak' jacket, not a 'flack'jacket," McCain chided, by way of pointing out his military service.

Actually, if you look in the dictionary under "flack", it says the word is a variant of the word "flak."  Bottom line: they mean the same thing.

That didn't stop a McCain campaign aide from going even further:

"Obama wouldn't know the difference between an RPG and a bong."

Well that was low!  Usually when someone unleashes an ad hominem attack, it happens after they lost the argument.  If that is the absolute best attack the Republicans can throw at Senator Obama, then that should give Democratic voters an even better reason to make him their nominee this winter.

White House spokesman slams Carter

Picphoto052007fratto In response to Jimmy Carter's comments yesterday, in which he called this Administration the worst in history, the White House fired back:

"I think it's sad that President Carter's reckless personalcriticism is out there," White House spokesman Tony Fratto respondedSunday from Crawford, where Bush spent the weekend.

"I think it's unfortunate," Fratto said. "And I think he is proving to be increasingly irrelevant with these kinds of comments."

Increasingly irrelevant?  Actually, many would argue that since Carter left office he has actually grown more relevant.  From the 1982 establishment of the Carter Center; to being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002; to his oversight of the 2004 Venezuelan election; to his work with Habitat for Humanity; to his work as a professor at Emory University; The 39th president has made a number of differences in the world.

And if Jimmy Carter became so increasingly irrelevant, then how come 13 years after he left office President Bill Clinton sent him to North Korea to negotiate what became the 1994 Agreed Framework?  Had it not been for that deal, North Korea would have about 50 plutonium-based nuclear weapons today.

Maybe the better question is who is more relevant today, Bush or Carter?  At least Bush can rest assure that he has at least 28% siding with him.

Bill O'Reilly, Need I say More?

I thought about adding this to our newly added daily post 'WorthyMentions from the Liberal Blogosphere', (the name can possibly change in thefuture, and if there are any suggestions for a new title, please feel free tosend them in to The Blue State). Idecided it was worthy of a post of its own.

News_houndsOn Friday's ' The O'Reilly Factor' (5/11/07), Bill was fed up and said"I'dlike an honest media in this country...is this too much to ask?" As Iwatched this, I knew the News Houndswould be all over it, so I waited for their post.Medium_oreillymad2

Bill O'Reilly was on a tear on the Factor last night 5/11/07 because an8-page article by retired General McCaffrey that says there are some positivesigns in Iraq is not on the front page of the New York Times or the BostonGlobe. I don't know how to break it to him, but it's not on FOXNews.comeither. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the article is over sixweeks old, and in that time 150 moreAmericans have lost their lives in Iraq.

First O'Reilly summarized the eight pages for us, and it was strikingly likeall the talking points we hear on FOX on a daily basis: our cause is just; theconsequence of failure will be severe; we now need a last powerful effort toprovide the politcal support, economic resources, and military strength it needsto succeed. In faint yellow-on-pink print in the graphic you can make out thedate: March 26th, 2007.

O'Reilly never sided with McCaffrey whenhe was critical of the war, but now is in love with him and his '8 pages'. Billalso says "if things are getting better, don't derail the train"...whydidn't we hear him say the opposite while the war was not getting better? (whichwas the entire time)

Col_huntRetired Col. David Hunt was their to support O'reilly'srant, however Hunt doesn't give Bill everything he wanted to hear. When O'Reillydiscusses the war with retired Generals and Colonels or other experts, he will go at them if theydo not agree with him, however he always agrees with his "Body Language Expert"Tonya Reiman. When a guest does agree with him, he'll cut them off and move on to another issue or statement to gain as many agreements he can secure for future "back up".

Bill O'Reilly has gotto be one of, if not THEE most disrespectful news show hosts there ever was. Read therest of The News Hounds Post HERE...
